(Switch needs its own lamp: here using the example of Shelly Plus Plug S)

Do you have a power storage and want to know whether there is enough electricity without taking your cell phone at hand? Or would you like to signal other people in the household whether there is enough electricity? With the Shelly Plus Plug S Can you create a simple and effective solution.

Step 1: Configure the LED ring

In the Shelly app you can set the lighting of the Shelly Plus Plug S LED ring. Choose a color and intensity when the Shelly is "on" to indicate that the memory has sufficient electricity. Choose a different color when the Shelly is "off" to signal that there is less electricity.

Step 2: Settings in our app

In our app you have to make the following settings:

  1. Use device: Activate the "Smart Tax" option.
  2. Nominal output: The nominal output should at least correspond to the maximum production performance of your photovoltaic system. Example: Enter at least 10,000 watts for a 10 kWP system.

Step 3: Configure SOC plan

In order to control the switch after the charging stand, use the "SoC Plan" function in our app:

  1. Choose the control of the switch with a switch-on and a switch-off threshold.
  2. With the slider you can determine in which area the switch should shine. Example: Switching on 80%, switching off at 75%. The switch always shows that the charging level is larger than 75%.

Step 4: Place the switch on "Smart"

In the overview of the devices, you have to put the selection switch on "Smart" to activate the settings.

With these steps you can make the status of your Power Storages visible for everyone in the household. So everyone knows immediately whether there is enough electricity!

  3. State the electricity tariff: Stay your electricity tariff in your profile and, if available, the feed-in tariff of your PV system.
