Monitoring of power consumers

(Supposes switch with performance measurement, here using the example Shelly Plus Plug S)

Do you know how much electricity your devices really consume? Maybe you have undiscovered power eaters in the house. With a Shelly Plus Plug S switch, you can visualize the consumption and better understand what your devices do.

  1. Use switch with monitoring function
    • Choose the "Monitoring" function when setting up the switch in the app. So you ensure that important devices such as refrigerator or washing machine are not accidentally switched off.
  2. Evaluate consumption data
    • In history, you can view and analyze the records and evaluations of your devices.

Example: monitoring of two refrigerators

  • Lila: A beverage refrigerator with approx. 200 liters of capacity and small freezer compartment, year of construction 2010.
  • Blau: A cooling combination with 300 liters of capacity (200/100), built in 2020.

Result: The smaller refrigerator, which is rarer open, consumes almost 50% more electricity than the larger one.
